Spacest.com Acquires Homelike to Expand Rental Reach in Europe

Homelike, the corporate rental platform that shut down earlier this year, has been acquired by Italy-based Roomless Srl, the company behind flexible housing platform Spacest.com. The acquisition includes Homelike’s digital assets, such as its domain name, logo, and branding. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
As of July 2, visitors to www.thehomelike.com are automatically redirected to Spacest.com, ensuring a seamless transition for long-time Homelike users. The homepage now highlights the acquisition and introduces Spacest.com as a new solution for both landlords and tenants in key markets like Germany, the U.K., Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Austria, and the U.S.
Founded in Germany, Homelike was once a leader in medium- and long-term corporate rentals, offering more than 70,000 furnished apartments across Europe and North America. The company ceased operations in March 2025 after a decade in business, citing market challenges and a shift in corporate travel demand.
Spacest.com sees the acquisition as a strategic move to expand its footprint in Northern Europe, where Homelike had strong brand recognition. The integration is expected to strengthen Spacest.com’s position as a top player in the flexible rental market for professionals and expats.
“With this acquisition, Spacest.com enhances its visibility in key European cities and advances its goal to become the go-to platform for high-quality, flexible housing,” the company said in a statement.
The deal underscores the continued consolidation within the short- and mid-term rental sector, as platforms aim to scale their services and expand into new markets.
