Star Clippers Promotes Cyndi Denman to Director of Sales

Star Clippers has announced the promotion of longtime team member Cyndi Denman to the newly created position of Director of Sales. In her expanded role, Denman will focus on growing the company’s charter sales, working closely with strategic partners, and expanding the cruise line’s account base.
Denman has been with Star Clippers for over nine years and has played a key role in strengthening the brand’s presence in the North American market. Terri Haas, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, praised Denman’s extensive industry experience and her impact on the company’s continued growth. “I have known Cyndi for many years, and she brings extensive industry knowledge to her new role. We have complete confidence in her ability to expand our strategic partnerships and grow both our charter sales and add new travel advisor relationships to our extensive roster,” Haas said.
With more than 25 years of experience in the travel industry, Denman has held sales leadership roles with major airlines including Continental and Air Jamaica, tour operators like Pleasant Holidays, and cruise lines including Costa, Ponant, and Un-Cruise. Her well-established relationships with travel advisors and agencies have been instrumental in her success.
To fill Denman’s previous position as Business Development Executive for the Southeast region, Star Clippers has appointed Sheryll Pyle. Pyle brings more than two decades of industry experience, starting her career as a front-line travel advisor and later working with Gogo Worldwide Vacations and Dube Travel Leaders. She has a strong background in account management and business development and brings a passion for travel and client relations to her new role.
Pyle will oversee sales efforts across the Southeast region, which includes Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C., West Virginia, and Tennessee. She is based in Texas and reports directly to Terri Haas.
Star Clippers has been a leader in tall-ship sailing for over 35 years, offering unique voyages to the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Central America. The company operates three distinctive ships: the Star Clipper and Star Flyer, each carrying 160 guests, and the 227-guest Royal Clipper, recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest five-masted, fully-rigged sailing ship in service. The ships are known for their spacious teak decks, swimming pools, casual dining, tropical bars, and relaxed onboard atmosphere.
