Virgin Voyages to Launch True Crime Cruise This October

Virgin Voyages is set to launch a unique themed sailing with the debut of its first-ever true crime cruise. The five-night voyage, departing October 10, 2025, from Miami aboard Valiant Lady, is being hosted in partnership with iHeartPodcasts and will feature immersive content from popular true crime shows.

The itinerary includes stops in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and the Beach Club at Bimini before returning to Miami. Guests on board will engage with hit iHeartPodcasts including Betrayal, Buried Bones, and Stuff They Don’t Want You to Know, through live podcast recordings, behind-the-scenes workshops, exclusive giveaways, meet-and-greets with podcast hosts, and themed food and drinks.

“It’s going to be mysterious, glamorous, and like nothing else at sea,” said Nicole Huang, senior vice president of fleet experiences at Virgin Voyages.

Coinciding with the Halloween season, the cruise will also feature spooky programming such as costume contests, bar crawls, eerie entertainment, and a haunted edition of Virgin’s signature Scarlet Night soiree, adding a festive and thrilling element to the experience.

Kate Winkler Dawson, co-host of Buried Bones, shared her excitement: “Our fans are going to experience true crime storytelling like never before, and honestly, what better setting for mystery than the middle of the ocean?”

Themed cruises have become a growing trend in the industry, and Virgin Voyages’ true crime sailing is aimed at fans looking to combine their love for mystery and storytelling with a luxurious Caribbean getaway.
