Holland America Line Unveils Refreshed Entertainment Fleet-Wide

Holland America Line is introducing an expanded slate of entertainment options across its fleet, with new live music, cultural activities, and updated production shows launching now through 2026. Six ships—Nieuw Statendam, Zaandam, Zuiderdam, Volendam, Nieuw Amsterdam, and Eurodam—have already debuted the refreshed offerings, with more vessels set to follow.
“Our live music is second to none, and guests have asked for more,” said Michael Smith, senior vice president of guest experience and product development. “We’re delivering with higher energy, authentic regional music, and more variety to create unforgettable experiences on every sailing.”
Among the highlights are Vivace, a classical string duo or trio; The Dam Band, a live ensemble backing production shows on the World Stage; and regional soloists such as folk guitarists in Alaska or mariachi performers in Mexico. Entertainment will also expand into new venues, including the Crow’s Nest, Lido Pool, and Ocean Bar, with surprise cabaret performances and enhanced production show schedules.
The cruise line is also enhancing onboard engagement with a revitalized entertainment team, featuring more visible cruise directors and assistant directors. Later this year, Holland America will relaunch its Travel Guides program, offering destination talks and Q&A sessions tailored to each port. An expanded activities crew will oversee trivia, cooking demonstrations, art classes, and themed game shows.
A new “Welcome Aboard” show, presented on the first night of each sailing, will preview the ship’s entertainment lineup. Popular productions such as Curtain Up, Dance!, Rock Britannia, and Crossroads are also returning fleet-wide.
