Quark Expeditions Hosts Arctic FAM Trip Winners

Quark Expeditions recently hosted an unforgettable Arctic FAM trip for the winners of its 2024 Arctic Sweepstakes, giving travel advisors a rare firsthand experience of polar cruising. Ten travel advisors and their guests joined business development manager Chris Catanzariti aboard the Ultramarine for an expedition that reached 82 degrees north latitude—the farthest north the vessel has ever sailed. The company also announced the winners of its 2025 sweepstakes during the voyage.

“Our FAM voyages are designed to expand horizons, both literally and professionally,” said Catanzariti. “Standing on the deck at 82° North or witnessing wildlife few ever encounter gives advisors a perspective no brochure can capture. They return with a depth of understanding that allows them to guide clients with authenticity and passion.”

Participants experienced Quark Expeditions from every angle, starting with a pre-voyage inspection to learn about Ultramarine’s advanced design and sustainability features. They also enjoyed an exclusive meet-and-greet with the expedition team, attended an educational seminar on Antarctica, and used onboard credits at the Tundra Spa and wellness facilities.

Advisors joined signature activities such as the polar plunge and witnessed extraordinary wildlife, including a polar bear feeding on a whale carcass. The itinerary included visits to Alkefjellet’s dramatic bird cliffs and the remote island of Jan Mayen.

“Getting firsthand experience makes all the difference in any product I sell,” said Amy Angeli of Savanti Travel. “I was able to organically fall in love with Quark through my experience. The team goes above and beyond to leave a lasting impression.”
