Cunard is bringing Broadway to the ocean with an exclusive at-sea production of the award-winning musical “Come From Away.” In collaboration with Music Theatre International, the beloved show will debut on Queen Elizabeth’s maiden Caribbean voyage on October 16, 2025, coinciding with the production’s 10th anniversary.
Performances will take place twice per voyage in the ship’s Royal Court Theatre, offering both matinee and evening shows. Specially adapted for the stage at sea, the production will feature an ensemble of 12 performers recreating the heartfelt story that has captivated audiences worldwide.
“We are incredibly passionate about the power of timeless storytelling, and our long-standing affiliation with London’s West End and Broadway in New York ensures that unparalleled entertainment is at the heart of the Cunard experience,” said Katie McAlister, president of Cunard. She added that the line’s 2026 Entertainment Residencies will continue to expand access to world-class performances onboard.
Written by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, “Come From Away” recounts the true story of 6,579 airline passengers stranded in a small Canadian town following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, highlighting themes of kindness, community, and shared humanity.
Producer John Brant said, “Even after 10 years, it’s still incredible to see the impact this show has on people. Now more than ever, we believe it’s important to gather friends and family to see it together, with the hope it inspires them to find common ground in their lives.”
This exclusive production underscores Cunard’s commitment to delivering unique cultural experiences at sea.
