St. Vincent and the Grenadines to Add Four New Hotels

St. Vincent and the Grenadines is set for a major expansion of its hospitality sector with four new hotels scheduled to open over the next three years, Tourism Minister Carlos James announced during the State of the Tourism Industry Address at the national stakeholders’ conference.
The developments include the 280-room Peter’s Hope Resort, which will join Marriott’s Autograph Collection, and the 360-room Beaches St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a family-friendly resort. Palm Island Development will also launch with phase one slated for December 2026, while the 150-room Cumberland Bay Resort will feature overwater bungalows, cottages, and a small marina alongside its beachfront hotel.
Currently, St. Vincent and the Grenadines has a hotel room stock of 3,349. With the addition of these projects, plus the formal inclusion of roughly 400 Airbnb and short-term rental listings, the country expects to grow its accommodation capacity by 1,100 rooms. This expansion will bring the total to more than 4,450 rooms by 2026/2027—a 34.5% increase over 2025 levels.
“These new developments represent more than additional rooms; they mark a transformation of our tourism product and strengthen St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ competitiveness on the global stage,” said James.
He emphasized that each project will follow sustainable principles to ensure balanced growth, community benefits, and environmental protection. “This is not mass tourism but a structured, forward-looking approach to tourism development,” he added, underscoring the country’s goal of blending economic progress with cultural and ecological stewardship.
