HX Expeditions recently held an exclusive showcase event for more than 200 travel advisors aboard the MS Fridtjof Nansen in Seattle, marking the ship’s first official embarkation from the city. Seattle has served as HX’s Americas headquarters since 2014, making the September 26 event a milestone for the brand.

Advisors participated in immersive sessions highlighting the HX expedition experience, with guided tours of the ship’s spa, fitness center, infinity pool, and suites. They also explored the dining venues, where chefs presented new themed menus and signature cocktails. Expedition leaders shared how guests explore remote destinations through small boat landings, kayaking, and hiking, while onboard scientists demonstrated how travelers contribute to global citizen science projects with over 30,000 observations annually.

As part of the event, advisors gained access to special incentives, including 5% savings on new bookings through October 31. HX also launched its largest global trade promotion, “Sell 3, Sail Free.” Advisors who secure three deposited bookings on eligible 2026 voyages by the deadline will qualify to win one of 130 free expedition cruises for two.

Steve Smotrys, managing director and senior vice president of commercial for the Americas, emphasized the importance of travel advisors in HX’s success. “These events reflect our investment in trade partners who power our growth,” he said, noting U.S. revenue growth of more than 50% year-over-year as HX approaches its 130th anniversary in 2026.

The Seattle showcase was part of HX’s Americas Roadshow, which spans eight cities and concludes in Orlando on October 22.
