Carnival Cruise Line is expanding its footprint in Australia and New Zealand for the 2027–2028 season, adding new homeports in Adelaide and Auckland alongside its year-round operations from Sydney and Brisbane.

“Carnival is sailing from five homeports in Australia and New Zealand in 2027/28, and we remain the only global cruise line committed to this region year-round,” said Peter Little, Country Manager for Carnival Corporation & plc. “We’ve answered the call from guests across Australia and New Zealand who’ve asked for more convenient, great-value cruise options.”

The new itineraries include:

Auckland (May–July 2027):
Four-night sailings to Norfolk Island and nine- to ten-night voyages to Fiji, Vanuatu, and New Caledonia, concluding with a four-night repositioning cruise to Sydney on July 29, 2027.

Melbourne (January–February 2028):
Two- to three-night mini getaways and four-night Kangaroo Island escapes, ending with a two-night voyage to Adelaide on February 25, 2028.

Adelaide (February–March 2028):
Short getaways ranging from two to four nights, plus a five-night South Australia coastal cruise visiting Kangaroo Island and Port Lincoln, finishing with a three-night sailing to Sydney on March 14, 2028.

Sydney (Year-Round):
Two- to five-night short cruises to Moreton Island, Eden, and Tasmania, plus longer sailings to Vanuatu, New Caledonia, and the Great Barrier Reef. Guests can also choose themed voyages such as the six-night Melbourne Cup, 12-night Fiji & South Pacific, and 14-night Mutiny on the Bounty & Fiji itineraries.

Brisbane (Year-Round):
Four-night sailings to Airlie Beach, six- to nine-night Great Barrier Reef and South Pacific cruises, a 14-night Mutiny on the Bounty & Fiji itinerary, and for the first time, a nine-night Tasmania cruise calling at Hobart, Port Arthur, and Eden.

Carnival’s expanded deployment underscores its long-term commitment to the South Pacific market, offering more regional travelers easy access to cruise holidays close to home.
