Azamara Previews Return to Alaska with Immersive Manhattan Event

Azamara Cruises hosted an exclusive preview event aboard the Azamara Quest at Manhattan Cruise Terminal, giving guests a first look at the ship before its highly anticipated return to Alaska for the 2026 season. The occasion marked Azamara’s first Alaskan program since 2019.
The Azamara Quest, a mid-sized premium ship, reflects the brand’s hallmark of elegant intimacy and immersive travel. The vessel offers seven distinctive dining venues and lounges, multiple decks and pools, a full-service spa, boutique shops, and entertainment spaces—all designed to deliver Azamara’s celebrated “Destination Immersion” experience.
The evening was hosted by Azamara Cruises CEO Dondra Ritzenthaler and Katie Gerhard, Associate Vice President of Sales for Eastern USA, Canada, and Inside Sales. Organized in collaboration with Visit Anchorage, the event spotlighted Azamara’s renewed partnership with Alaska as a key destination for culturally rich voyages.
Guests enjoyed a six-course Alaska-themed dinner curated by award-winning chefs Laura Cole and Jason Chaston, using ingredients freshly flown in from Alaska. The menu showcased the region’s distinctive flavors—from wild-caught seafood to locally sourced produce—each course paired with fine wines reflecting Azamara’s culinary excellence.
The evening concluded with a signature “AzAmazing Evening” experience titled Stories Under the Stars. Set on the ship’s pool deck, the open-air performance featured dance, drumming, and storytelling that brought Alaska’s landscapes, wildlife, and heritage to life against the Manhattan skyline.
With its upcoming Alaskan season, Azamara continues to distinguish itself through small-ship exploration and non-repetitive itineraries designed for deeper cultural engagement. As the Azamara Quest prepares to head north in 2026, the Manhattan event reaffirmed the brand’s dedication to authentic, destination-driven cruising.
