Minor Hotels has announced plans to debut a new Anantara luxury resort in Ushuaia, Argentina—the southernmost city in the world. Scheduled to open in early 2028, the Anantara Ushuaia Patagonia Resort will feature 60 upscale guest rooms and suites, a spa and wellness center, signature dining venues, and meeting spaces.

Situated near Tierra del Fuego National Park and just minutes from Ushuaia International Airport, the resort will offer a waterfront setting with immersive, locally inspired experiences. The project is part of the Costa Susana development, Argentina’s first carbon-neutral real estate initiative, which has been nominated for the World Architecture Festival in the Landscape and Environment category.

“Ushuaia, often called the ‘End of the World,’ is a gateway to Antarctica and a breathtaking destination,” said Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels and Group CEO of Minor International. “Bringing Anantara to South America is a key milestone for us, and we’re thrilled to introduce our brand in such a bold and awe-inspiring location.”

Ushuaia is known for its pristine wilderness, luxury Antarctic cruises, scenic train journeys, and the dramatic landscapes of Tierra del Fuego National Park.

Melitón González del Solar of Fideicomiso Urbanización Monte Susana added, “Partnering with Minor Hotels to introduce Anantara to Argentina is incredibly exciting. Ushuaia’s natural beauty and sense of adventure align perfectly with Anantara’s philosophy of experience-led hospitality. Together, we are creating a benchmark green hotel for the region.”
