AI Event Planner BoomPop Secures $25M for Rapid Expansion

BoomPop, an AI-powered event planning platform focused on simplifying corporate group travel and offsite coordination, has raised $25 million to accelerate growth and expand its capabilities. The funding round was led by Wing Venture Capital, with participation from Atomic, Acme, Four Rivers, Thayer Investment Partners, the Fund of Operators Guild and Gaingels, along with several notable individual investors. The raise also includes $16 million in debt and credit from Silicon Valley Bank.

Launched in 2023, BoomPop aims to modernize one of the most complex areas of travel and events: group planning. Instead of time-consuming manual coordination, employees input their needs—such as group size, goals, dates, and preferences—into BoomPop’s AI engine. The platform then analyzes factors like weather, availability, pricing and logistics to generate customized offsite options.

For users who prefer more control, BoomPop offers a browsable database of hotels, venues, restaurants and activities. Once plans are chosen, the platform’s AI continues to streamline the process by managing vendor bookings, reviewing contracts, organizing activities and handling RSVPs.

Co-founder and chief product officer Blake Hudelson said group travel is “the last frontier of travel tech” due to its exponential complexity compared with individual bookings. “Our AI doesn’t just manage the chaos; it turns it into clarity,” he said.

BoomPop also announced two senior hires: Craig Dooley joins as VP and general manager of BoomPop Studio, the company’s in-house events agency, and Indrajit Bavan joins as VP of partnerships to support the startup’s next phase of expansion.
