Hotel operating platform MAIC has secured just over €1 million in new funding to accelerate its international expansion and enhance its technology for independent hotels and multi-property groups. The round was led by Expon Capital, with participation from LBAN and several private investors.

Based in Luxembourg, MAIC currently operates in nine countries and plans to use the fresh capital to scale globally while expanding its platform’s capabilities. The company aims to support hotel operators facing growing pressure to increase efficiency and profitability through smarter automation.

Expon Capital partner Lily Wang praised MAIC’s rapid traction and measurable financial impact for hotel clients. “Hospitality operators face increasing pressure to do more with less,” she said. “Given the founders’ deep industry expertise and dedication, we are confident they are the right partners to bring lasting value to customers.”

Founded in 2023 by former hotel managers, MAIC provides a unified operating system that streamlines day-to-day tasks and connects seamlessly with major property management systems, including Oracle Hospitality Opera, Mews and Apaleo. By reducing administrative workload, the platform is designed to free up staff to focus on guest-facing services.

MAIC co-founder Vladimir Volkov emphasized the company’s mission to blend technology with hospitality. “Software should make hotels more human,” he said. “When automation takes repetitive admin off the desk, teams spend more time with guests—the work they do best. Service improves, and profit follows naturally.”

With new investment and strong industry momentum, MAIC is preparing for its next phase of global growth.
