Archer Partners With Saudi Operators for eVTOL Test Flights in Saudi Arabia

Archer Aviation has partnered with key Saudi operators to begin electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) test flights in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while assessing the region’s overall readiness for advanced air mobility.
Announced at the Dubai Airshow on November 19, 2025, the memorandum of understanding brings together Archer, The Helicopter Company (THC)—a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company—and Red Sea Global (RSG). The partnership aims to establish a “sandbox framework” to accelerate next-generation Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) testing in Saudi Arabia.
The initiative will involve real-world test flights of Archer’s Midnight eVTOL, allowing teams to evaluate aircraft performance, operational feasibility, regulatory requirements and passenger acceptance. These insights will support future certification and commercial deployment.
Beyond flight testing, the collaboration will explore long-term strategic partnerships for large-scale eVTOL adoption, assess infrastructure and airspace needs, and support innovation across the region’s emerging AAM ecosystem.
The partnership aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader ambitions to become a leader in next-generation aviation technologies as part of Vision 2030.
