MGM Grand Reveals $300M Renovation With Nearly 4,000 New Rooms

MGM Grand Hotel & Casino has unveiled a $300 million renovation that fully transforms nearly 4,000 rooms and suites at the iconic Las Vegas resort. The newly redesigned accommodations—3,969 in total—are now open for booking and showcase a modern, upscale aesthetic created by global design firm Gensler in collaboration with MGM Resorts Design & Development.

All rooms and suites have been refreshed with brighter color palettes, upgraded blackout drapery, illuminated closets and contemporary custom artwork inspired by the energy of the disco era. Bathrooms now feature walk-in showers, porcelain finishes and a more spacious, polished layout. Mike Neubecker, President and COO of MGM Grand, said the remodel reflects guest feedback and is designed to offer the ideal blend of style, comfort and functionality for both business and leisure travelers.

Each room category incorporates its own design touches. MGM King rooms feature rich walnut wood accents and vibrant carpeting, while MGM Two Queen rooms use softer gray tones and refined headboards for a more calming feel. The renovation also introduces 111 new suites ranging from 675 to 1,784 square feet, offering expanded living areas, larger bathrooms and multi-bedroom layouts ideal for families and groups seeking extra space.

The transformation marks one of the most significant updates in the resort’s history, reinforcing MGM Grand’s position as a leading destination on the Las Vegas Strip.
