MiM Hotels Partners With Meliá, Joins The Meliá Collection

Meliá Hotels International has formed a strategic partnership with MiM Hotels, the boutique brand owned by football legend Leo Messi. Through the agreement, Meliá will manage MiM’s entire portfolio of six properties, all of which will be incorporated into The Meliá Collection, the company’s curated selection of character-driven hotels.
The MiM Hotels portfolio spans top destinations in Spain and Andorra, including Sitges, Sotogrande, Mallorca, Ibiza and Baqueira Beret. Each hotel reflects Messi’s personal vision of contemporary luxury, featuring exclusive elements like the signature “Messi Suite” and curated memorabilia such as signed Ballon d’Or replicas. While now operated under a lease agreement by Meliá, the properties will retain their distinctive identity.
Designed by acclaimed interior designers Luis Bustamante and Lázaro Rosa-Violán, the hotels combine privileged locations with a strong focus on sustainability, wellness and personalized service. Several properties feature culinary concepts by Michelin-starred chef Nandu Jubany, whose HINCHA restaurant showcases local ingredients blended with Argentine influences in Baqueira, Andorra and Sotogrande.
Wellness is central to the MiM brand, with hydrotherapy circuits, bespoke treatments and tranquil spaces supporting holistic relaxation. Locations such as Sotogrande, Baqueira Beret and Andorra enhance the experience with outdoor activities, including golf, skiing and hiking.
The collection offers a mix of adults-only retreats—MiM Mallorca, MiM Sitges and MiM Ibiza—and family-friendly properties in Andorra, Sotogrande and Baqueira Beret. Select hotels also host small-scale meetings and events. All MiM properties hold LEED certification, reflecting a commitment to sustainable building practices.
Gabriel Escarrer, Chairman and CEO of Meliá Hotels International, highlighted the partnership’s strategic value: “The complementarity between MiM Hotels and The Meliá Collection creates a compelling proposition for discerning travelers—driven by the inspiration of a global icon like Leo Messi and the proven expertise of a leading hospitality group like Meliá.”
Through the integration, MiM Hotels will maintain their unique character while benefiting from Meliá’s global distribution, loyalty platforms and expanded visibility across The Meliá Collection’s 26 hotels in more than 12 countries.
