Susi Air Deployed for Disaster Relief Flights in Indonesia

Susi Air has been hired by the West Java provincial government to support emergency relief efforts in West Sumatra after severe floods and landslides struck the region. Governor Dedi Mulyadi said on December 2 that two Susi Air aircraft have been contracted to transport aid from Padang to remote and hard-to-access communities affected by the disaster.

Known for its capability to operate in challenging terrain and underserved regions, Susi Air is one of Indonesia’s key lifeline carriers for remote transport. The airline’s fleet is largely made up of Cessna 208B Grand Caravan turboprops, with additional PC-6 Porters and Let 410s, enabling it to reach short and rugged airstrips where larger aircraft cannot operate.

The charter flights are part of a broader emergency response aimed at accelerating the delivery of food, medical supplies, and essential support to isolated areas impacted by the humanitarian crisis.
