Four Seasons is marking its 65th anniversary in 2026 with an ambitious slate of new openings, experiences, and brand extensions that underscore its evolution from a single hotel into one of the world’s most influential luxury hospitality companies. The milestone year includes the debut of Danieli, A Four Seasons Hotel, Venice, and the highly anticipated launch of Four Seasons Yachts.

Founded in 1961 by Isadore Sharp with one hotel in Toronto, Four Seasons today operates 135 hotels and resorts and 61 residential properties across 47 countries. The company remains privately held, owned by majority shareholder Cascade Investment, Kingdom Holding Company, and Sharp through Triple Holdings Limited. Its long-term ownership structure has enabled a consistent focus on service culture, thoughtful growth, and brand integrity.

According to Alejandro Reynal, President and Chief Executive Officer, the anniversary reflects both a proud legacy and a forward-looking strategy. He emphasized that Four Seasons continues to balance its core values of service excellence and genuine care with intentional expansion and purposeful innovation, a formula that has defined the brand for more than six decades.

In 2026, Four Seasons will expand across every major region. In the Americas, the brand is preparing for the reopening of the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara following a comprehensive renovation, while also debuting the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena. The latter will be housed within two restored colonial and Beaux-Arts landmarks, blending historic architecture with modern luxury in one of Colombia’s most culturally rich destinations.

Europe will see several high-profile openings, led by Danieli, A Four Seasons Hotel, Venice, set within three historic Venetian palaces. The company will also open the Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos, its second resort in Greece, and The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel, located in the Swiss Alps and scheduled to open in time for the winter season.

Growth continues across the Middle East with three new properties: Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea at Shura Island, Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay, and the Four Seasons Hotel Madinah. In Asia Pacific, the brand will enter a new market with the opening of the Four Seasons Hotel Hanoi at Hoan Kiem Lake, its first property in Vietnam.

Beyond hotels and resorts, Four Seasons is extending its luxury lifestyle offerings. Four Seasons Yachts will debut later this year with the launch of Four Seasons I, introducing yacht-style voyages across the Mediterranean, Adriatic, and Caribbean. Meanwhile, Four Seasons Private Jet Experiences continue to expand, offering curated global itineraries that combine private jet travel with stays at Four Seasons properties and exclusive cultural experiences.

With more than 60 additional projects in development, including returns to Berlin and Brazil, Four Seasons enters its 65th year positioned for sustained global growth while remaining anchored in the service philosophy that built its reputation.
