Disney Cruise Line Names Tracy Wilson SVP, GM as Fleet Grows

Disney Cruise Line has appointed Tracy Wilson as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Disney Cruise Line Operations, marking a leadership transition as the company accelerates its global expansion. Wilson succeeds Sharon Siskie, who is retiring after guiding the cruise business through one of the most transformative periods in its history.
Announcing the appointment, Joe Schott, president of Disney Signature Experiences, highlighted Wilson’s blend of operational expertise and storytelling sensibility. He noted that as the fleet continues to grow and Disney Cruise Line reaches new destinations, Wilson’s strategic mindset and people-first leadership will play a key role in elevating the guest experience at sea.
Wilson brings more than 30 years of experience across The Walt Disney Company, with a career spanning operations, finance, marketing, and consumer products. In her new role, she will oversee all operational aspects of Disney Cruise Line’s award-winning fleet, as well as the line’s private island destinations, ensuring consistency, safety, and service excellence across the expanding portfolio.
Most recently, Wilson served as Senior Vice President of Finance for Disney Signature Experiences. In that position, she led strategic planning and complex negotiations that enabled the construction of five new Disney Cruise Line ships. Her work helped position Disney to engage directly in shipyard procurement for the first time, a significant shift that strengthened cost control, flexibility, and long-term growth planning for the cruise business.
Earlier in her career, Wilson played key roles across some of Disney’s most recognizable destinations and brands. She contributed to operations and strategy at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, as well as Disneyland Paris, gaining a global perspective on guest experience and large-scale resort operations. Her background also includes leadership roles within Disney Consumer Products, broadening her understanding of brand integration and storytelling beyond parks and resorts.
Wilson’s experience extends into entertainment marketing as well. At Walt Disney Studios Global Theatrical Marketing and Distribution, she helped lead the integration of Lucasfilm and Marvel, providing insight into how Disney’s franchises resonate with audiences worldwide.
Her appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Disney Cruise Line, which is preparing for the launch of Disney Adventure and advancing plans to expand its fleet to 13 ships by 2031. With Wilson at the helm of operations, the company aims to support this growth while maintaining the distinctive service, creativity, and operational excellence that define the Disney cruise experience.
