Hyatt Opens Alila Mayakoba Riviera Maya Resort

Hyatt Hotels Corporation, in partnership with RLH Properties, has opened Alila Mayakoba, marking the Alila brand’s debut in Latin America and the Caribbean. The luxury resort is located within the exclusive Mayakoba enclave along Mexico’s Riviera Maya.
Spanning 60 acres of beachfront, lagoon and lush jungle landscape, the resort features 182 guestrooms, suites and villas designed to blend indoor and outdoor living. Private terraces, natural textures and a color palette inspired by mangroves, waterways and Caribbean light create a serene, immersive atmosphere.
Alila Mayakoba places Mayan culture and cosmology at the center of the guest experience. Through curated Alila Moments, travelers are invited to engage with the region’s traditions and heritage in meaningful ways. Spa Alila builds on this philosophy, offering sunrise intention rituals by the sea, traditional temazcal ceremonies and the Essential Frequency experience, a 528Hz sound immersion designed to calm the nervous system and restore balance.
The resort introduces six distinctive dining venues rooted in local ingredients and regional traditions. Alisio Beach Club delivers a vibrant yet relaxed beachfront setting, with daytime wellness-focused fare transitioning to live-fire seafood and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine after sunset. Casa Amate, a celebrated Mayakoba dining institution, returns with its globally inspired flavors and intimate, home-style dining rooms. Chef’s Atelier at El Huerto offers a 12-seat culinary laboratory led by Executive Chef Michael Grau, centered on a head-to-tail, zero-waste philosophy and ingredients grown within the resort’s garden.
Guests can also enjoy lagoon boating, nature trails and direct beach access, reinforcing the resort’s emphasis on connection to place and sustainability.
To celebrate its debut, Alila Mayakoba is offering an inaugural stay package that includes pre-arrival concierge support, complimentary round-trip airport transfers and a signature Ixchel Water Blessing or Tribal Soundscapes wellbeing experience.
With its blend of luxury design, cultural immersion and sustainability-driven dining, Alila Mayakoba strengthens Hyatt’s luxury portfolio and positions the brand for continued growth in Mexico’s high-end resort market.
