A4A, coalition urges White House to end predeparture testing rule

Airlines for America joined more than 260 travel industry and business groups in petitioning White House Covid-19 Response Coordinator Ashish Jha to lift the COVID-19 pre-departure testing requirement for vaccinated international air travelers to the US. Other nations have dropped the mandate and ample protections are now in place, the organizations explained. “The wide range of public health tools to effectively manage COVID-19, combined with hospital grade ventilation systems onboard airplanes and the inbound vaccination requirement, have also made international air travel safer than ever,” the letter read.
