A4A data: Predeparture testing requirement harms economy
US airlines continue to urge the White House to lift the predeparture testing requirement for international passengers. In a new carrier survey, Airlines for America found that dropping the COVID-19 testing requirement for incoming international air passengers would bring 4.3 million additional international passengers and $1.7 billion in incremental revenue per year, including 1.075 million foreign visitors who would spend an estimated $2.1 billion.
