A4A exec outlines need to scale up sustainable aviation fuel
Airlines for America has pledged to have two billion gallons of sustainable aviation fuel available by 2030, but it will not happen without government support, Nancy Young, vice president of environmental affairs, told Minnesota Public Radio’s Climate Cast podcast. “The wonderful thing about sustainable aviation fuel is that it can be made out of almost anything that has a carbon content,” such as “municipal solid waste, crop waste or woody waste from logging,” she said.
