A4A joins in supporting rules to enable SAF production

In a letter to National Climate Advisor Gina McCarthy, Airlines for America joined a coalition of aviation groups in urging the Biden Administration “to take readily obtainable steps to address regulatory roadblocks that currently hinder further commercialization and scale-up of SAF [sustainable aviation fuel].” As an immediate action, the coalition pointed to the need to make changes to a proposed Environmental Protection Agency regulation pertaining to the production of SAF using “biointermediates” that would render it more supportive of the developing industry.
