A4A urges standards for digital health certificates
Airlines for America continues to advocate for federal guidance around a standardized digital health pass that would track proof of coronavirus test results and vaccination status for travelers, which would allow travelers to avoid domestic and international quarantine requirements. “We’re seeing people gain more and more confidence in flying, but also understanding the process and understanding that its simple to have a digital test certificate or digital vaccine certificate is going to help build confidence in the system,” said A4A’s Sharon Pinkerton. In a letter to the White House, A4A and travel groups asked the White House to “establish uniform guidance” to reduce confusion and strengthen protections against the virus.
