Accor to Deploy Its D-Edge Tech as CRS

Accor will deploy its wholly owned D-Edge Hospitality Solutions subsidiary as the central reservation system for its 5,300 hotels throughout the world, the company announced.

Accor created D-Edge in 2019 by combining two prior acquisitions: digital marketing tool Fastbooking and hotel technology provider Availpro.

Accor in January 2020 announced plans to work with Sabre to develop a CRS and property management system, but Accor CEO Sébastien Bazin last year cited the pandemic in announcing the decision not to further the partnership.

In a written statement, Accor Group COO Patrick Mendes called the D-Edge deployment “especially important as our industry is currently facing a significant staffing shortage, making easy and quick product adoption critical to business efficiency.”
