Acendas Launches Rebooking Tool for Flight Disruptions

Kansas City-based travel management company Acendas has added a new tool designed to help travelers rebook flights following delays and cancellations.

The Mission Control ReRoute tool, created with TMC software developer Magnatech, sends travelers text alerts when their flight is disrupted that include a link showing options for flight alternatives, including on carriers other than their original carrier. Travelers either can book a new flight through their smartphone or communicate directly to an agent via text.

Acendas, a partially owned subsidiary of BCD Travel specializing in travel management for small and midsized clients, said it has received “extremely positive” feedback from clients following the tool’s launch.
