ACLU taps first Black president in 101-year history
The American Civil Liberties Union has elected New York University School Professor Deborah Archer as its leader, the first Black president to fill the position in its 101-year history. “There is no one better equipped, who best personifies or is more capable to helm the future battles for civil rights, civil liberties, and systemic equality than Deborah Archer,” says Executive Director Anthony Romero.
