Africa’s first hotel robots score hit with guests

Hotel Sky in Sandton, Johannesburg, opened in November with Ariel, Lexi and Micah on staff, the first robots to be employed in Africa’s hospitality industry. While guests have enjoyed interaction with the mechanical helpers, “it’s important to note that the robots in no way replace human beings or jobs,” General Manager Herman Brits says.
