The AHLA Foundation, the philanthropic branch of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, has unveiled an innovative platform to modernize and simplify its scholarship application process. This state-of-the-art system not only enhances the overall user experience but also features a comprehensive eligibility assessment tool. This tool enables students to effortlessly identify and apply for all Foundation-hosted scholarships for which they qualify, using just one unified application.

This streamlined process represents a significant leap forward in the Foundation’s ongoing mission to support aspiring hospitality professionals. To date, the AHLA Foundation, with the backing of individual donors and corporate sponsors, has distributed nearly $17 million in scholarships to deserving students across the United States, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing emerging talent in the hospitality industry.

Anna Blue, President of the AHLA Foundation, highlights the organization’s long-standing dedication: “For 70 years, the AHLA Foundation has actively supported hospitality students. Enhancing accessibility to vital resources and opportunities is a pivotal part of our commitment to the industry’s future talent.”

The AHLA Foundation Academic Scholarship Program encompasses a diverse range of funds, including those from the AHLAF General Campaign, AHLA Foundation Hospitality 2000 Campaign, Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS), AHLAF New Century Fund, National Restaurant Association, and many more distinguished sources.

The new portal is a game-changer, allowing the AHLA Foundation to efficiently manage additional scholarship opportunities, such as:

  • Hyatt Hotels Fund for Minority Lodging Management Students
  • Rama Scholarship for the American Dream Program
  • American Express Scholarship Program
  • Ecolab Scholarship Program
  • Karl Mehlmann Scholarship
  • Banks Brown Graduate Scholarship Program
  • Arthur J. Packard Memorial Scholarship Program
  • Stephen P. Holmes Scholarship

This transformative approach by the AHLA Foundation not only simplifies the application process for students but also signifies the Foundation’s evolving role in proactively supporting the next generation of hospitality leaders. By integrating multiple scholarship opportunities into one accessible platform, the AHLA Foundation sets a new standard in educational support within the hospitality industry.
