Air Canada exec discusses return of business travel

Air Canada Chief Commercial Officer Lucie Guillemette said global business travel could fully recover approach pre-pandemic levels as early as fall. Guillemette stressed that removing restrictions such as the US COVID-19 predeparture testing requirement for incoming international passengers is critical to reaching full recovery. “If we look at how the demand recovery patterns behaved as restrictions were lifted, it stands to reason that when this requirement is removed we should see an upside without a doubt,” Guillemette said.
