Air cargo shippers rely on K-9s to sniff out explosives

Some airlines and shipping companies, including Atlas Air are turning to K-9s to sniff out explosives in cargo. With new international standards requiring every shipment to be checked going into effect, “there’s going to be a dramatic increase in the use of third-party canines,” said John Beckius, executive director of the Transportation Security Administration’s air cargo division.
