Air Peace, Nigeria’s premier airline, has announced its ambitious plan to connect Lagos directly with London Gatwick, enhancing its international route network with a strategic entry into the European market. This development comes as Air Peace secures the necessary traffic rights and slots to kickstart this exciting new route on March 30, marking a significant milestone as its inaugural European destination.

Since its inception in 2014, Air Peace has swiftly ascended to become Nigeria’s leading carrier in terms of international reach. The airline currently boasts an expansive network that includes 21 domestic routes, 10 regional routes, and six intercontinental destinations, demonstrating its commitment to connecting Nigeria with the rest of the world.

To facilitate the launch of the Lagos-Gatwick service, Air Peace has entered into a partnership with Norse Atlantic Airways, leveraging an Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance (ACMI) leasing arrangement. Under this agreement, Norse Atlantic will supply Air Peace with a state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The aircraft, known for its exceptional range and efficiency, is perfectly suited for the long-haul service between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

The initial lease agreement with Norse Atlantic is set for a two-month period starting in April, providing Air Peace with the flexibility and capacity to establish a strong foothold on the new route. This strategic move not only signifies Air Peace’s continued growth but also its commitment to offering more travel options and superior service to its passengers.
