Air travel surges over weekend, still down from 2019

The Transportation Security Administration screened 7,953,471 at airport checkpoints between July 2 – 5, including 2,196,411 on July 2, which surpassed the same day volume from 2019. Passenger volume for the four day period remained about 20% lower than it was in 2019, which screened 10 million people during the same timespan
