Aviation executives, including the CEOs of American Airlines, United Airlines and Delta Air Lines met Feb. 26 with top Biden administration officials in a discussion that focused primarily on reducing emissions and sustainable fuels, and sought support for “incentives for sustainable aviation fuel and carbon capture in the forthcoming economic stimulus proposal,” according to United. “Airlines are ready, willing and able partners, and we want to be part of the solution” to climate change, said Nicholas Calio, president and CEO of Airlines for America, adding: “We stand ready to work in partnership with the Biden administration.”
