Airline crews share Afghanistan evacuation stories

American Airlines flight attendant Lorin George, United Airlines pilot Zak Khogyani and Artemis Bayandor, a former flight attendant who works in corporate safety for United, share their experiences in aiding Afghan refugees. The mission was especially poignant for Khogyani and Bayandor, who fled Afghanistan and Iran, respectively, as children and know what it is like to give a “final goodbye” to friends and family.
