Airlines affirm support for Biden mask order

Airlines for America expressed appreciation for President Biden’s executive order mandating face coverings in airplanes and other modes of transportation. Airlines have been “vigorously enforcing face covering requirements since April 2020,” said Airlines for America CEO Nicholas Calio, adding: “U.S. airlines have been supportive of a federal mandate as an additional layer of support and welcome today’s executive order, which will strengthen our flight crews’ ability to enforce face covering requirements for the duration of the pandemic.”
