Airlines oppose quarantine for international passengers
Airlines have joined other travel industry advocates in opposing President Joe Biden’s order requiring quarantines for incoming international passengers and restricting entry for citizens of the UK, Ireland, Brazil, South Africa and Europe. “US airlines have been strong advocates for a national testing standard set by the federal government” and “remain hopeful” the new administration will recognize “that testing can be used to safely resume travel without quarantines, which are difficult to enforce and often prove ineffective,” said Nicholas Calio, CEO of Airlines for America.
