Airlines say COVID-19 resurgence has hit travel demand

American, Southwest, United, Delta and Hawaiian Airlines are all noting a downturn in bookings that they attribute to the resurgence in COVID-19 infections. The trend has not only discouraged travel in general, but has delayed many businesses’ plans to bring employees back to the office and resumption of business travel.
