Airlines urge Congress to protect FAA in case of shutdowns

Airlines for America joined a coalition of aviation organizations in supporting proposed legislation that would protect the Federal Aviation Administration from government shutdowns. The bill, introduced in the House June 22, would allow the agency to temporarily use money from the Airport and Airway Trust Fund for operational expenses.
