Airlines want DOJ to prosecute unruly passengers

Aviation trade groups and labor unions are asking the Justice Department “to send a strong and consistent message through criminal enforcement” to unruly passengers, who now number about 3,000. The Federal Aviation Administration has issued $368,000 in penalties and passengers also face as much as 20 years in prison.
