Airlines work on securing tests as Mexico bookings drop

Americans have been canceling plans to travel to Mexico beach destinations and other Caribbean spots that have no COVID-19 testing requirements now that the US will require a test to return, said Andrew Nocella, chief commercial officer at United Airlines, but increasing passenger safety and confidence is key in the long run. As airlines work on plans to help passengers obtain tests during international trips, Delta Air Lines President Glen Hauenstein said that Delta could shift flights from those low-regulation destinations to domestic routes if demand shifts in the short term.
