Airlines work to expand use of alternative fuels

Airlines are working toward expanded use of alternative fuels through investments and partnerships and are hoping for federal support from the new Biden administration. Biofuels can cost as much as four times more than traditional fuel, said Lauren Riley, United Airlines’ managing director of global environmental affairs and sustainability.
