Airports maintain commitment to tech upgrades

In a survey, 55% of the airports responding said they would maintain or increase technology budgets in 2021 despite decreased revenue, and 87% said they have implemented, or have in the works, technological upgrades related to passenger health and safety. “Airports have done so much already to improve the customer experience, our industry cannot afford to lose ground on this progress, despite the challenging environment we are in,” said Luis Felipe de Oliveira, Airports Council International’s world director.
