Alaska Airlines’ regional affiliate Ravn Alaska has agreed to buy 50 electric, short takeoff and landing aircraft. The aircraft are not only carbon-neutral, but are well suited to locations with short runways and icy conditions, which makes them a good fit for rural Alaska.
