Alaska Airlines advances sustainability goals

Alaska Airlines Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Sustainability Diana Birkett Rakow says the carrier’s longtime commitment to sustainability has taken on “a whole new level of importance,” due in part to “the level of acute awareness of the impacts of climate change.” She explained that, 10 years after the first trial of sustainable fuels, “We’ve moved beyond test flights now…[a]ll of the stakeholder forces are converging around a need for action.”
