Alaska Airlines has pledged to increase racial diversity at the leadership level within the company to at least 30% by 2025. The airline also set the goal to increase its “Inclusion Index Score” in its employee engagement survey by 10 points and create career pathways for at least 175,000 young people by supporting programs that empower and enable opportunity. “These goals represent the next step in our journey to be a better company. We still have a ways to go, but we are committed to doing the work, being transparent about our progress, listening to feedback and holding ourselves accountable,” said Ben Minicucci, president and incoming CEO.
