Alaska Airlines COO reflects on Afghan refugee flights
Alaska Airlines COO Constance von Muehlen called the airline’s participation in relocation of Afghan refugees “an example of Alaska at our very best” in a column that recounts employees’ experiences in the airlift. Within hours of the airline receiving instructions, team members across departments signed up to help facilitate the charter flights, von Muehlen said. “It was important that we did all we could to help them,” said one flight attendant.
