After thanking employees for “a record revenue-generating quarter,” Alaska Airlines leader Ben Minicucci confirmed the airline plans to make all of its regular planes Boeing models and use Embraer aircraft for regional flights, retiring its Airbus 320s at the end of 2022 and its 321s at the end of 2023. “A single fleet lowers costs and allows us to be more productive,” Minicucci explained.
