Alaska Airlines spotlights women in aviation

Alaska Airlines is spotlighting flight attendant Elissa Maples and first officer Ali Eckert in celebration of International Women’s Day. Eckert is the first flight attendant-to-pilot direct transfer in Alaska history. She now works to help others follow in her footsteps. “I want to get more people out of their field and into the flight deck. There are so many great people who are flight attendants, agents and rampers who just need that nudge,” she said.
